🍴 Cloud 9 Smoothie Bowl ✨ Chill, tropical, healthy πŸ† Best smoothie bowls on the island, hands down!

OMG, Sulit Bowls is my go-to after a crazy night at RumBar! Their smoothie bowls are super refreshing, and they have ulam bowls too, so you can get your Filipino fix in the morning. I always recommend the 'Cloud 9' bowl!

Insider Tip

Okay, listen up! If you go early (like before 9 AM), sometimes the owner, Ate Vangie, makes a special batch of banana bread – it's not always on the menu, but it's SO good. Also, pro-tip: ask them to add extra granola for that perfect crunch!

Stopped by Sibol after dinner just for a drink. Had a rum and coke and a beer β€” prices were reasonable and fair for the area. The music was played quite loudly at first, and some seats are directly in front of the speakers, which can be a bit intense. Later in the evening there was live music, which was actually very nice and created a good vibe. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the visit. The crowd was a good mix of locals and tourists, giving the place a lively but still relaxed atmosphere. Overall, a good spot for evening drinks and live music, just be mindful of where you sit if you prefer it a bit quieter.

Ordered the fresh tuna poke bowl. Food was served fast and good in terms of taste, better than the other bowls I’ve tried in Siargao aside from Tiburon. Owners need to do a refreshed test of their bestsellers as the carrot filler serving was excessive, downplaying the tuna proportion (which was pretty good!) and the rest of the components. The highlight of the place was really the staff as everyone was kind and even gave recommendations on food pairings and other restaurants to try (of course, after inviting us back first for cocktails at night). Shoutout especially to Melvin, who was our main server and really kept us engaged

🍴 Bom Dia Bowl ✨ Beachfront, vibrant, vegan πŸ† Insta-worthy smoothie bowls with an ocean view.

Shaka is classic Siargao vibes, talaga! The smoothie bowls are not just pretty, they're actually delicious. I brought my balikbayan cousin here, and she went crazy over the 'Bom Dia' bowl. Perfect for a pre-surf breakfast!

Insider Tip

Insider tip: if you're staying nearby, get your bowl to go and enjoy it on the beach! It's less crowded that way. Also, check their Instagram for daily specials – sometimes they have amazing vegan pancakes!

Shaka Siargao is the island’s most famous breakfast and healthy food hub. Located right in front of the iconic Cloud 9 boardwalk, it has become a "rite of passage" for travelers to grab a colorful smoothie bowl after watching the sunrise. πŸ₯£ The Famous Smoothie Bowls Shaka is credited with popularizing the "smoothie bowl" culture on the island. Every bowl is made with fresh local fruits, topped with house-made granola, seeds, and beautifully sliced tropical fruits. * Best Seller: The "Bom Dia" (Acai, banana, mango, pineapple, and berries). It’s the go-to for a high-energy post-surf meal. * Local Favorite: The "Cloud 9 Kook" (Mars bars, peanut butter, and cacao) for those who want something a bit more indulgent. * Price: Bowls typically cost around β‚±300 – β‚±350. β˜• Vibe & View * Front Row Seats: The cafe features a beach-facing terrace with swings and rustic wooden tables. It offers one of the best views of the surfers at Cloud 9 while you eat. * Opening Hours: They open at 6:30 AM (daily). It’s perfect for the early morning crowd coming off the boardwalk after sunrise. * Health Focus: While they were strictly vegetarian for years, the menu has evolved slightly in 2025-2026. However, they remain the best spot for vegan-friendly, gluten-free, and health-conscious options, including coffee with high-quality plant-based milks. πŸ“ Location & Tips * Location: Directly at the entrance to the Cloud 9 boardwalk, General Luna. * Peak Time: It gets extremely busy between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM. If you want a seat with a view of the ocean, try to arrive right when they open or after the main breakfast rush. * Beyond Bowls: Don't sleep on their Cold Brew or their fresh cold-pressed juices, which are life-savers during the humid midday heat. πŸ’‘ Pro Tip for January 2026 If you’re visiting this week, keep in mind that the morning air can be a bit damp from the occasional rain. Shaka’s open-air seating is covered, making it a cozy place to watch the stormy Pacific waves with a warm coffee if the weather turns.

Awesome spot right on the beach with palm trees and a perfect view of the Cloud 9 Surf Area. The food and drinks are really good, the pizzas, shakes and cocktails are always fresh and super tasty. The prices are very fair, especially for this location. On weekends they also have a great deal: from 4 to 8 pm you get a free cocktail when you order a pizza, that’s the perfect Combo :) The staff is very friendly and nice. On top of that, there are DJs playing every weekend, bringing great vibes with relaxed, cool music. It’s the perfect place to chill, have a drink, and enjoy the sunset :)

🍴 Eggs Benedict with Adobo Flakes ✨ Upscale, rustic, romantic πŸ† Delicious Italian breakfast with a Filipino twist.

Okay, Kermit isn't JUST for dinner! They have a surprisingly awesome breakfast menu. Their Eggs Benedict with adobo flakes is freakin' amazing! A little pricey, but worth it for a special treat.

Insider Tip

Here's the tea: if you're a big group, book ahead! They get super busy, especially during peak season. Also, ask your server about the daily pasta special – sometimes they have a breakfast pasta that's not on the regular menu.

🍝 Kermit Siargao: Best Bang for Your Buck & Pizza on the Island! πŸ’― You HAVE to eat at Kermit. Seriously great value for money hereβ€”the portions and quality are top-notch. β€’ Cloud 9 Pizza: MUST TRY! Best pizza on Siargao, perfectly cooked, amazing flavors. β€’ Aligue Pasta: Totally decadent, rich, and unforgettable. Order it. β€’ Aperol Spritz: It's solid, just your standard, refreshing 'it's okay' classic spritz (thankfully without the weird peach additions!). Come for the food, stay for the vibe. A non-negotiable stop in Siargao! PS: tried honey mustard chicken wrap it’s a no for me (a bit bland). Fries was excellent! For thr truffle chips, it’s ok nothing fancy.

They say Kermit has the best pizza in Siargao, but for me, the dough was just okay. It was too sour and tasted over-proofed you can really taste the gas, which means it wasn’t properly fermented. The place itself is nice though, with a good ambiance and friendly servers. Overall, it was okay. Would I recommend it? Maybe, if there’s some improvement by the time I come back.

Local's secret: ask for extra garlic rice! They're super generous with the portions. Also, don't be afraid to try their grilled pork belly for a truly Filipino breakfast experience.

Great food for decent prices. We had the β€œsmall” squid which was still a very big portion and extremely tasty. The tuna belly was also very good and super fresh. The eggplant tasted fresh and was well marinated. Overall great experience with fair prices. Would definitely come back.

🍴 Pancakes ✨ Beachfront, relaxed, surf πŸ† Relaxed beachfront breakfast with a surf vibe.

I love grabbing breakfast at Harana! It's a little further out from General Luna, but the view is worth it. Their pancakes are fluffy and delicious, and you can watch the surfers while you eat. So chill!

πŸ’‘
Insider Tip

Psst! If you're staying at Harana, breakfast is included! But even if you're not, you can still enjoy their breakfast menu. They sometimes have a 'surf and turf' breakfast special on weekends, ask about it!

HARANA is nestled in a hidden alley, and I’m grateful they welcomed us in without any booking for the night. The place is beautifully designed, creating an amazing ambiance that enhances the dining experience. Service was excellent too, very generous and not calculative, eager to assist, pure and warm. And the foodβ€”wow! It’s authentically Filipino, delicious, and generously portioned. This spot is definitely a must-try and I highly recommend it to all Siargao tourists. Be sure to try the β€œblack-souped” chicken breast and the Tausug beef and of course my favorite BANGUS sisigβ€”SUPER YUM!!

Overall Rating: β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜… (5/5) πŸ„β€β™€οΈ Surf Lessons & Coaching Quality: 5/5 I booked four days of surf lessons with Harana Surf Camp, and the experience was outstanding. I started with Blair as my instructor and later continued with Charlie β€” both were excellent coaches. They provided clear technique guidance, valuable corrections, and tailored feedback throughout each session, helping me progress confidently on the board. πŸ›Ÿ Safety & Professionalism: 5/5 At all times, I felt safe, supported, and well looked after. The instructors were attentive in the water, always within reach, and highly focused on creating a secure learning environment. Their professionalism, calm guidance, and strong surf expertise allowed me to fully enjoy each session while improving my skills. 🌊 Surf Spot Selection & Local Knowledge: 5/5 One of the major highlights was their thoughtful and knowledgeable choice of surf spots. The locations were selected based on daily weather and wave conditions β€” not randomly or for convenience. This showed their deep understanding of the island’s surf breaks and ensured that each session was both safe and ideal for my level of progress. πŸ‘₯ Instructor Engagement & Teaching Style: 5/5 Both instructors were not only skilled surfers but also exceptional teachers. They paid close attention to my personal development, corrected my technique with patience, and celebrated improvements along the way. Their positive energy, dedication, and encouragement made the experience truly enjoyable and motivating.
